Meeting Shorts for January 2004
Thanks to everyone who showed up for the meeting.
I did demonstrate OpenOffice.
We didn't get the Palm demonstration, so perhaps next month.
We did discuss the possibility of a special meeting in a couple of weeks, and we won't get much notice. Paul has a really special hardware item to show, so I won't say what it is unless we actually get it.
Thanks to Paul for arranging food again -- it was good.
I also accidently demonstrated the OS/2 wireless card's ability to discover wireless access points. It's nice to see that working. (Just leave the SSID blank, and the card connects to the strongest available access point.)
We also compared notes on running the VPC product, and InJoy firewall.
See you next month.
